Τα εγκαταλελειμμένα email καλαθιού αποστέλλονται σε πελάτες που έχουν προσθέσει προϊόντα στο καλάθι τους αλλά δεν κατάφεραν να κάνουν check out.

Είναι εξαιρετικά αποτελεσματικό ως τακτική ανάκτησης πωλήσεων. Σύμφωνα με μια έρευνα, σχεδόν το ήμισυ όλων των εγκαταλειμμένων ηλεκτρονικών μηνυμάτων καλαθιού ανοίγουν και πάνω από το ένα τρίτο των κλικ οδηγούν σε αγορές στον ιστότοπο. Πρέπει να καταλάβετε ότι οι πελάτες συχνά εγκαταλείπουν τα καλάθια τους χωρίς νόημα να το κάνουν, για παράδειγμα, επειδή ο ιστότοπος έσπασε, επειδή η διαδικασία ήταν περίπλοκη ή επειδή ο ιστότοπος έληξε.
