How We Work

1. Backup & Preparation – We take a full backup of your website files and database before starting.
2. Staging Setup – Instead of working directly on your live website, we create a development version (dev site) in a subfolder on your server.
3. Data Migration – We copy and migrate all data (customers, orders, products, categories, images, etc.) to the dev site.
4. Upgrade & Testing – We upgrade OpenCart to the latest version and thoroughly test it for performance, stability, and compatibility.
5. Customer Approval – Once you review and approve the dev site, we schedule a final migration window.
6. Final Data Sync & Go Live – During a 1-2 hour maintenance window, we migrate the latest orders, customers, and products, ensuring no data loss before making the upgraded site live.

What We Preserve

• Customer data, including orders, customers, products, categories, and images, will remain unchanged.
• Sensitive and customized database entries will be intact.

What Will Not Be Preserved

• Custom templates and themes from older OpenCart versions will not be compatible. The default OpenCart theme will be applied after the upgrade. You can install a new theme yourself or opt for our theme installation service.
• Third-party extensions will not be upgraded as part of the service. You will need to contact the extension developers for updated versions.
• Module positions may reset and require manual reconfiguration in the admin panel.

Optional Custom Work

• Extension Upgradation – If you need third-party modules updated, we can assist at $10 to $20 per hour.
• Custom Development – Any additional custom modifications can be handled as per your requirements.
