The Tools Tab in your OpenCart SEO extension provides a powerful set of features for efficiently managing and updating redirects and records.

    1. Enter the old URL (the one you want to replace).
    2. Enter the new URL (the replacement URL).

2. Bulk Response Code Update

This tool allows you to update the HTTP response code for multiple records simultaneously.

3. Assign Default URL to All Empty Redirect Fields

This tool assigns a default redirect URL to all records that currently have an empty redirect field.

  • Purpose: Automatically assign a default URL to any broken link or page with no defined redirect. This ensures that no link leads to a 404 error.
  • How to Use:
    1. Set the Default Redirect URL in the Settings Tab before using this tool.
    2. Click the Assign Default URL button to populate all empty redirect fields with the default URL.
  • Benefits:

    • Minimizes 404 errors, contributing to better SEO and user experience.

4. Delete All Records

This tool allows you to delete all records related to broken links and redirects.

  • Purpose: Use this tool to clear the entire database of broken links and redirects, which can be useful during major website overhauls or if you want to reset the data.
  • How to Use:
    1. Click Delete All Records.
    2. A confirmation message will appear. Review the action carefully before proceeding as this will permanently remove all records.
  • Benefits:
    • Clears out outdated or unnecessary data, helping to maintain a clean and organized database.
