Steps to Retrieve Your Google Tag Script:
Step 1: Log into Google Analytics
- Go to Google Analytics.
- Use your Google account to sign in.
- Select the property (website) you want to add the Google Tag to.
Step 2: Access the Google Tag Manager
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Admin (usually at the bottom of the menu).
- Under Property Settings, locate and click on Data Streams.
Step 3: Select Your Data Stream
- In the Data Streams section, find and select your website’s data stream (e.g., your website URL).
- This will open a detailed page for your data stream.
Step 4: Copy the Google Tag Script
- Scroll down to locate the Google Tag section.
- Here, you should see a section labeled Global Site Tag (gtag.js).
- Copy the provided script, which you can insert directly into the extension setting.
