Steps to Retrieve Your Google Tag Script:

Step 1: Log into Google Analytics

  1. Go to Google Analytics.
  2. Use your Google account to sign in.
  3. Select the property (website) you want to add the Google Tag to.

Step 2: Access the Google Tag Manager

  1. In the left-hand menu, navigate to Admin (usually at the bottom of the menu).
  2. Under Property Settings, locate and click on Data Streams.

Step 3: Select Your Data Stream

  1. In the Data Streams section, find and select your website’s data stream (e.g., your website URL).
  2. This will open a detailed page for your data stream.

Step 4: Copy the Google Tag Script

  1. Scroll down to locate the Google Tag section.
  2. Here, you should see a section labeled Global Site Tag (gtag.js).
  3. Copy the provided script, which you can insert directly into the extension setting.
